Is it time for a change? Here are several reasons to remodel your bathroom.
Reasons to remodel your bathroom:
1. Feel more in tune.
Older style bathrooms are charming, yet lack some of the popular modern features that seem to beckon you each morning when getting ready for the day. Pink or avocado tile and paint, wallpaper, old light fixtures, and worn-out mirrors can make your entire home look and feel outdated.
2. Increase functionality.
Do you use your tub, or is it merely taking up valuable real estate? Perhaps it’s time for an upgrade to an elegant frameless glass shower door, or a frameless shower with flooring that connects directly to the shower. Another option may be a sunken tub that can double as a therapeutic sauna.
3. Add storage space.
If you’ve recently added family members, or the bathroom is simply too small for your toiletries and linens, consider the quick addition of a few cabinets to get you and your family members organized. The philosophy of, “everything has a home” can apply here with your personal items, shampoos, linens and beach towels.
Reasons to remodel your bathroom:
4. Save money in the long run.
Showerheads, toilets, and faucets have all become more water-efficient in recent years, helping you save money. Consider adding water saving fixtures, radiant flooring, and low-flow comfort-height toilets. New impact-resistant windows can also increase efficiency and brighten up the room.
5. Don’t put off those minor repairs.
We all know those minor repairs can become monsters if we let them go. If you have broken or loose bathroom tiles, leaking shower/tub valves, or damaged cabinets, go ahead and get those repairs completed. Keep in mind, a water leak is one of those annoying “monsters,” which left on its own, can contribute to rotted floors and mold problems.
